I am looking for a electronic counter and electronic timer or 1 item to do both jobs. I want a very simple counter that can be hooked up to the power switch, key or button that turns the power on to any machine ( picture a radio ) and I need to be able to count the number of times that radio was turned on. Secondly I need a Timer to time how long the radio was left on ( running). I have used radio as an example but basically it is for spa and health related equipment that is all 110 volt equipment.. Now I have researched Amazon and Alibaba and I am 99% sure that there are many of those available just for ordering and at a very low cost. My main problem is that I do not understand all of the descriptive material they have as they use so many letters only to describe them. ( next thing I am not trying to tell anyone how to do their job) but I would prefer not to custom make such an item when I am sure they are on both of those sites and many starting as low as 10.00 US therefore I do not know if the person willing to take on this project is willing to find what I need on either site. I will give you some examples of what I have found and you can look them up to see if they will work. Hilitand digital counter A C 110-220 volt . I am going to retype a message they sent me when I inquired about one of their many timers. ( Our timer counters can only be used in one of the two modes of timing and counting. It is recommended to use two timer counters to realize this function, one for displaying the energization time and the other for displaying the number of times the meter has been energized.. NOTE that the number of times that the meter has been energized cannot be counted directly by disconnecting and turning on the power to the meter. The counting meter needs to be powered all the time. and the number of energixations can be achieved by a relay connected to the power supply to signal to the counter. ) I do not 100 % understand this last part but it sounds like a third item is required... They also went on to say they could customize the software to realize both counting and timing but I would have to order 5000 units.. Where as this is just an idea I am working on and I think I would only require 10 to 20 units
