We currently have an existing dbt data pipeline for one client. We need to build a new one for a different client that follows a similar pattern. There are a couple steps where we have to hit external APIs to augment the data. We do that with Python, Prefect and Google Cloud functions. Being familiar with that ecosystem is helpful so you know how it works but you won't need to write Python or Prefect flows. Our data warehouse is Snowflake. Previous experience with dbt is a must.
