I need to write a simple script using Bash (preferably), Python or Perl to create an office booking system. Full description will be provided. However, a sample of the description is below. The script would read a file in format: date time name <date-of-booking> <time-of-booking> <number-of-hours> And output should be (Date should be descending): Date <start-of-booking> <end-of-booking> <name> Date <start-of-booking> <end-of-booking> <name> <start-of-booking> <end-of-booking> <name> There is should not be any clashes. Everything should be booked within office hours.

Hey mate, Australian here, living in the USA. Previously was a Scientific Software Engineer at the Australian Synchrotron. - Heaps of experience with python + much more (sorry not really go into full detail for the short job), but suffice to say your script wont be a problem. I would do it in Python as using the datetime module (to work out out date of booking + number of hours) will be heaps easier than doing it in Bash. I just tried to PM you but I am unable to. But let me know as I will happily get it done for you now. Cheers Jack

I have done web developing i have made search engine using it i have done python programming on raspberry pi (see my portfolio) python is very easy DIY language. can you please explain you project a little more? Did you just need to take input and store it on txt file and then print in in decending order when we want it???? i will code it in python. Do you want GUI? or some sort of html form?
