I have a website with a simple web form on a VPS that runs php mail. This is fine and the form works, however, due to cost of VPS I am migrating to a shared server that prohibits php mail so my form doesn't send. I have PEAR installed on shared server but need help reconfiguring script/form to send via smtp.

I recommend using Gmail or Google servers for the outgoing mail although any other outgoing SMTP server will work. I have similar setup for several client's website and on some I provide my own domain details. I can provide links and references.
