A dynamic startup company is looking for a motivated experienced developer in London to enable our web site to launch and grow. The idea of our company is to develop a free online to offline event driven social network. So far, we have developed mock-ups and completed initial user testing, which is very positive. Now there is a need to move the project to the next stage to build a prototype in order to do real-life testing and identifying the most important features. First stage-developing a prototype: 3-4 Weeks work, starting asap. Stage two: our objective is to find a long term partner, who can contribute technical knowledge to this project and wants to grow as the company grows. That’s why it is crucial, that this person in based in London or is able to relocate in London in the future. This person should become a CTO, be responsible for the technical strategy and managing staff of programmers once funding is obtained. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a team with a great working atmosphere, creativity and quick solutions that inspires every member to explore their personal boundaries and contribute to the common success. Our vision is that the code should be written in a way, that it can be vertically and horizontally scalable and hold minimum of 100,000 online users. Hence, the scope of the project will require writing code from the scratch (no usage of WordPress and similar). The website is pretty comprehensive and includes following features: - Sophisticated search - Events / People / Group profiles / Discounts for members - Chat Emails - Online status indicator - Geo Location - Online-shop - List of contacts - Rating system Your contribution: Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, Java. Ideally you are also able to write apps for iPhone/iad/Android. We would prefer the site to be developed in PHP but would also consider possibility of using other languages if you have a strong expertise and there is an advantage for the product to do so.
