I currently run a Jabber chat server on my PC. I also run on this same jabber server a PHP chat robot client. (the details of what data the chat robot serves may not be that important but I have it retrieving data from a MYSQL DB) All you need to do is catch the robots output and then handle that in php and output dynamic javascript for the avatar TTS to say.
This chat robot is able to write its output of all chat transaction to the screen and/or to a text log file.
I recently signed up for an Oddcast Virtual Host service. Basically they have a javascript API which allows you to tell your avatar what to say.
I'd like my chat robot to be able to communicate with my webpage users sort of like on this page [login to view URL] but of course saying whats coming from the chat robot while the user communicated with the chat robot
I think what that would entail is writing a PHP script that takes my chat robots output then writes the proper javascript out onto a webpage so that the avatar speaks the output. The page would refresh its data and change its javascript output for each new message by the chat robot.
I was going to hack this together myself unless I get good offers on here. There is more on the Avatar javascript API here [login to view URL]
