Retrieve Query String Value from URL to Assign Multiple Pre-Determined Values to Hidden Form Fields

Project Overview: Use pre-defined query string value passed from a query string parameter in a URL and assign specific alpha-numeric values hidden text fields. If a query string value does not exist, assign pre-defined alpha-numeric values hidden text fields. The below is nothing more than a theoretical example. The query string parameter name, hidden text field names, and the values will be entirely different when this script used in the real world. Functional Example: 1. URL = http://this-is-a-base-url/i-am-a-subpage?pagevalue=1&querystringvalue= 2. Theoretical query string values: ABC WYZ ZZZ 3. If "querystringvalue" = "ABC", assign the following values to the following hidden form fields: Owner = 1A1A BU = Small Division = Division A 4. If "querystringvalue" = "WYZ", assign the following values to the following hidden form fields: Owner = 2A2A BU = Medium Division = Division B 5. If "querystringvalue" = "ZZZ", assign the following values to the following hidden form fields: Owner = 3A3A BU = Large Division = Division C 6. If "querystringvalue" = "" (null/blank), assign the following values to the following hidden form fields: Owner = 4A4A BU = Extra Large Division = Division D Additional Requirements: 1. Code must be well-commented. 2. Must be able to easily add or remove else/if statements. 3. Must have the ablity to disable (ideally comment out with //) BU and/or Division 4. Must not conflict with jQuery validate or prevent a form submission to occur if the query string value is null/blank.
