A non-fiction narrative of the dismissal of a collegiate athletic coach, including background history and an account of the impact of the dismissal on student athletes and their supporters (parents, family members, alumni, etc.). Need 2 versions: one with detailed documentary reference and support (documents will be provided) as well as detailed factual account, and one without documentary reference (in order to preserve confidentiality of the documents) but with sufficient narrative to tell the story of how a decision to dismiss a coach caused so much hurt and damage and cause enthusiastic supporters to do a 180 degree turn against the people who made the decision. Interviews of supporters as well as key individuals will be involved. Detailed note taking with careful organization of the notes and the ability to time-line multiple events will be critical to understanding and narrating the story. The audience will be the college administrator(s) (version 1) and students/supporters (version 2). The goal is to prevent this event from ever happening again while also providing closure for the student athletes and supporters.
