Currently I’m working as civil engineer and previously worked as structural design engineer. I have being working in the field for four years including two years as a structural design engineer and total 4 years as C. I’ve experienced in manual and software (STAAD Pro V8i, ETABS and SAP 2000) aided structural analysis and design as per BS & EC standards, preparation and supervision of construction drawings, Construction supervision, management and planning.

I have been working at a consultancy firm “A A Associate PVT Limited” since August 2016 in Karachi, Pakistan. I am employed as design engineer under the department of structures to design every structural element in a building. My area of expertise is the designing and analysis of structural buildings manually and by using software ETABS, SAP, SAFE etc. Structural elements include beams, columns, slabs and footing (all types). Also, I can perform steel detailing in all the structural members of a building. Firstly, the designing of structural elements in carried out manually. I use ACI-14 building codes to determine the load according to the building occupancy. After applying the load and incorporating safety factor in my calculations, I determine the geometry and steel reinforcement requirement of the structural elements. All the calculations are based on the building codes. After manually designing the elements. I use software SAP2000 or ETABS to analyse the structure under different failure conditions.
