I need a very simple C program

I need to have a program (source code included) that reads another .C file and and then writes the following results to a separate file: - the number of symbols in the comments, "/*" and "*/" excluded; - total number of the the program identifiers The application should launch with a menu with the following items, being the actual steps from the workflow (1., 2. etc): - option to input the name of the file to be read and the one that will contain the results. There must be a simple validation for the input file - the user needs to enter ".C" as a file extension. It would be great but not necessary if the validation includes case-sensitivity; - option for the program to read the input file and display the results (numbers of symbols in the comments, "*/" and "/*" excluded and the count of the program identifiers); - option for entering the program "by hand" (with the keyboard) on the screen and passing the results to the output file (should ask for a filename again). No need to be real-time, there could be a keyboard combination or another option to launch this action after the typing is completed; - same as the above, but instead of passing anything to an external file, the program should just output the entered code. There should be an option for returning to the "menu" from each of the above steps. The program should be separated into functions. No need for a GIU, just console stuff :)
