I'm looking for an expert in video and image processing / motion detection. The goal of the project is to detect violence in movie clips such as fist fighting, kicking, hitting and other forms of physical assaults. As a reference a university paper from the year 2002 - "Person-on-Person Violence Detection in Video Data" written by Ankur Datta, Mubarak Shah and Niels Da Vitoria Lobo shall be taken. Link: [login to view URL]~vision/projects/violenceDet/[login to view URL] Result of the project shall be a software running on Linux (CentOS 5.4, 64 Bit) that takes a video as input and and reports back if it contains violence or not. The software shall be written in C or C++ and the use of pure GPL code would only be accepted if not inevitable and would have to be discussed upfront. Acceptance testing would be done with the videos related to the paper specified above.

I wrote all the image analysis pieces of the LPR code for www.ipconfigure.com. Some open source code like OpenCV or IPP would be have to me used though

Execution of the Project involves the following 1. Proof of concept in Matlab. 1-a. implementing the required algorithms mentioned in the reference 1-b. Testing and refining. 2. Implementing in C/C++ on the linux environment Regarding myself, I have 6 years of post qualification experience in Matlab,C/C++ programing and I am into Image and video analytics for near to the same period.
