'Netflix and chill' for us is what 'restaurant and theatre' was for the people in the 80s. Today, binge-watching online-shows is one of the most appealing 'hangout' cultures for all young people. With hundreds of shows and a savvy recommendation algorithm, the media platform is definitely one of the most favorite things to do. Especially during the lockdown days, it saved us. However, it's not the only place where online movies and TV shows are doing great business. One of its competitors is Hulu. Similar to Netflix, Hulu is an online streaming platform, but, with a different kind of content selection. While Netflix does offer a wider selection of movies and older TV shows like FRIENDS and The Big Bang Theory; Hulu stands strong with its current-season TV shows like Castle Rock and Tagged.
While the popularity is high for both the platforms, the former one has a few advantages. The first thing is, of course, the ad-free experience that makes Netflix convenient. Also, both the services come in $7.99 per month, but the collection of classics and the kind of content makes Netflix a more likeable choice than Hulu.
