I have been a communications professional for more than 20 years and have experience as an assistant editor for a large medical organization's magazine, writing books, articles and website content.
The example below is an excerpt from a non-fiction book I wrote. If you are interested in seeing more examples, such as fiction examples, I would love to share them with you if you are interested.

SAMPLE EXCERPT FROM BOOK FOR POLITICIANS:
Let’s start with the basics. What are you going to communicate? Unless you have the role of speaking on behalf of council (usually the Mayor’s job), your main reason for communicating to your residents is to either educate them on a topic,
obtain their feedback and thoughts on an issue or let them know why you made a decision.
When you are communicating to inform or educate residents, it is very important to make sure you are on the same page as your administration. If for example, you want to inform your residents that a local recreation facility or service is closed, check to make sure you have all the important information correct – such as anticipated re-opening date and reasons for the closure - and that what you are saying reinforces what your municipality is saying. Nothing will cause confusion and discredit you faster than conflicting messages.
