I run a sports media platform based in London. We are looking for a creative partner to help bring our video essays to life. We are starting a series where we narrate interesting stories from sporting history and unpack complex topics in an educational manner - similar to (and inspired by) Tifo Football, The Infographics Show, or The Armchair Historian. However, we are looking for a unique creative approach. Each video will be roughly 5 to 15 minutes long and we plan to release 1 video per week. We will provide the audio recording ourselves but will need someone to turn it into a dynamic and engaging visual experience. These videos will be published on YouTube (in full) and Instagram/TikTok (in part/clips). We are interested in a medium-to-long-term partnership that will span at least months (as this project is going to be a cornerstone of our content) and so are looking for costing to be within this framework to ensure longevity. We are also looking primarily for our new partner to be UK-based to build up a strong, in-person relationship. Animation Style: I am specifically interested in 2D animation. The chosen freelance should be able to expertly weave together story elements using this particular style. Target Audience: The completed project should appeal to the general public. This is a broad audience, so the animation should be relaxing, informative, and thought-provoking. Theme: This video essay centers around sports. Anyone intending to bid on this project should have a genuine interest or previous experience in creating sport-themed videos. Ideal Skills and Experience: • Proven experience in 2D animation. • Strong portfolio that includes previous video essay projects. • Understanding of sport-related subjects will be an added advantage. • Excellent attention to detail. • Creativity and problem-solving skills. • Able to work within timelines.
