Design promotional materials for a video game / English creative writing competition in Hong Kong

The competition we run is targeted at teenagers and pre-teens aged 11-18. It involves the overlapping competencies between video games and creative writing. As such we need a campaign that speaks to both of these elements.
The images themselves will be used in the form of physical posters sent to schools, disseminated to members of the public in the form of flyers, and promoted digitally through instagram and a competition website. There will need to be 3 poster versions designed, all adopting a similar unifying theme, but being slightly different visually. Students should appear in the images, and these should be reflective of the location where the posters will be distributed (Hong Kong). Designs should incorporate the video game theme in a subtle way.
Designing the posters for approx A2 size is important. There are competition sponsors, so space for these to be featured will need to be accomodated.
A simple, moving element will be used on the website and should be inkeeping with the general design theme.
There are media sponsors of the competition, with designs being included in print and online in the form of half-page ads and website banners. Any material should therefore be suitable for placement in schools while also appealling to the student audience (12-18 years olds), and be appropriate to scale down for print media use.

2021 - image of a male student, overlaying images of student gaming and writing
2022 - images of male / female students: both in situations where they are writing, but surrounded by video game inspiration.
Continuing to follow with this theme will be important.
