WordPress Multisite Website — Customized Theme Upgrade

Necessary Skills Needed: - You have good WordPress Multisite Experience - You can Hand Code CSS - You have worked with Visual Composer plugin to do page layout - You've created/worked with child themes Nice to have Skills Needed: - You have worked with Mexin Theme Background: I have a WordPress website that has an old version of the Mexin theme installed and customized. Link to Mexin: [login to view URL] We now want to upgrade from version 1.X to 5.4.1 of the Mexin theme. This is SUCH a large jump that much of the CSS has changed in the theme. So, the old CSS customizations no longer work properly when the updated theme is installed and activated. Things are broken and need to be fixed. So , custom CSS fix is part 1 of the project. Next is the Visual Composer plugin. It was added to the theme in the upgrade from 1.x to 5.x. This changed how page layouts work for many of the pages within the site. Previously the pages were using shortcodes to manage layout, and now with Visual Composer layouts have changed. So in some instances, the pages need to be rebuilt inside of the Visual Composer interface—page by page. I have a development version of the website running in addition to the production (or live server) so all the work can be done on the development site, then the customizations need to be moved to the live site. Summary: This project will involve writing custom CSS that is responsive, ability to build new page layouts in Visual Composer to match the old layouts from the previous version of the site, AND finally once the new theme is looking like the existing site all the work will need to be migrated from the development site to the production site. REMINDER this site is inside a WordPress multi-site network. So it is not a simple export/import of the database from the dev server to the live server. We should discuss how you propose moving any new Visual Composer layouts over. --- This is not a project for inexperienced WordPress web developers. I'm looking for someone who has very good skills. We need someone with a good deal of experience that can get things done. For the right person, this could lead to other projects/work.
