I have a database called transact.dbf. It is large 820,000 records, 275mb. What I need to do is the following:
PART 1:
I want a user input field that pulls only a portion of the records based on the item column. Example: the user would enter and item number in the first field then enter another item number in the second field hit go and would get a database with just the records that fall in between those two item numbers.
ie: field 1 = 47000 field 2 = 50000 - hit go and a table would be generated that has all of the records with item numbers between 47000 and 50000.
PART 2:
I need to apply some rules to the records pulled in part 1 that will delete a majority of them.
Delete all records that have "PAY", "CRP", "CRI", "DBI", "DBR", "JNL", "CFE", "CFN", "MEM", "SLT", "RET", "ADV", "DBA" in the (trans) column
Delete all records that do not have "C" in the (key) column
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "30" and (status) column = "RIS" and (PR2) column = " "
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "30" and (status) column = "REN" and (PR2) column = " "
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "30" and (status) column = "RRW" and (PR2) column = " "
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "30" and (status) column = "REI" and (PR2) column = " "
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "30" and (status) column = "REW" and (PR2) column = " "
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "50" and (status) column = "NEW" and (PR2) column = " "
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "40" and (PR) column = "MY" and (PR2) column = " "
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "40" and (PR) column = "PA" and (PR2) column = " "
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "35" and (PR) column = "JN" and (status) column = "REN"
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "50" and (PR) column = "JN" and (status) column = "NEW"
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "20" and (PR) column = "QKW" and (status) column = "REN"
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "35" and (PR) column = "QKW" and (status) column = "NEW"
Delete all records where (PR) column = "X" and (PR2) column = " "
Delete all records where (PR) column = "MM1" and (pr_p) column = "100"
Delete all records where (PR) column = "DB1" and (pr_p) column = "100"
Delete all records where (PR) column = "JK3" and (pr_p) column = "80" and (PR2) column = "MM1" and (pr_p2) column = "20"
Delete all records where (PR) column = "JK3" and (pr_p) column = "90" and (PR2) column = "MM" and (pr_p2) column = "10"
Delete all records where (PR) column = "BH1" and (pr_p) column = "90" and (PR2) column = "MM" and (pr_p2) column = "10"
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "20" and (pr_p2) column = "10"
Delete all records where (pr_p) column = "10" and (pr_p2) column = "20"
PART 3:
After all of the rules are applied and records are deleted I want it to create an excel spreadsheet with the remaining records.
