Structural engineer needed to evaluate steel frame on warehouse to overclad in York area

Scope of works: • Undertake a visual inspection to property recording details and condition of the structural elements where access can be safely gained. MEWP access will be required and to be provided by Client. Inspection will be undertaken over 2 days. • Highlight concerns of a structural nature which may affect the building’s structural integrity as far as can be ascertained from a visual inspection. • Review proposed cladding details • Prepare structural report highlighting the following: - Observations and recommendations for further investigations/remedial works if required. - Confirmation of the likely capacity of the structural elements (Purlins, existing cladding, rafters & columns) - Confirmation of the maximum dead load the structure can support Exclusions: • Additional site inspection to the property • Procurement or scoping of further investigations (including ground investigations and MEWP) • Third party costs Proposed fee To complete the above scope, we would propose a fee of £ 4000 + VAT incl. of travel and reasonable disbursements.
