Automate a final inspection process

Hi! We're a SME that manufactures aerospace components. We would like to hire a developer to automate a final inspection process. The process consists of obtaining different inputs, extracting information from a SQL database, writing into the SQL database and then printing labels as the final output. We would aspire to having a console style script that simplifies and more than anything speeds up the process! We work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and we need this process to be as lean as possible. The inputs are obtained from: • The order number from a code bar scanner using a pistol • 2 x QR codes using a camera and a software named (we use DataMan 5.6.3 software) Then we need to check information against a SQL Server 2008 R2 database and look for a symbol in a .asc file to ensure that the component is dimensionally correct. In case that the component has a quality notification in the database, we´ll need to ask the operator for input. If all the outputs are OK, we will then write info into the database. Once the info has been written we need to print stickers (labels) using the software bartender. We don´t think it is an overly complicated process, but we lack the programming skills to automate the process and we are hoping that a script will work better than going for an RPA solution.
