Convert FoxPro 2.6 windows to Web .Net/C#/MVC

Dear Employer, pls. allow me to sign up for ypur project. The environment you requested (C#.NET, MVC, MsSQL) fits my profile very well. I would use C# together with EntityFW to implement database layer. On MVC side i can use Razor syntax to implement MVC templates. If i can suggest i would utilize SQL Server's Reporting Services (SSRS) capabilities to create the 10 reports you need. But if no SSRS instance is running on your SQL server it is okay to create custom reports in C#/MVC. The development process would look like listed below: 1st phase: inspecting FoxPro application, and understand the database structure needs to be developed 2nd phase: design and implement SQL database 3rd phase: implement C#/MVC application 4th phase: UAT (user acceptance testing) While developing i can provide complete demo/testing environment on my own webserver (with MsSQL in the background). At the end on the cooperation i would give you fully commented source code (on one hand MsSQL scripts, and on the other hand the comlete C#.NET source code as Visual Studio solution). In case of need i can offer for you a log term hosting plan for the complete solution to run on my own webserver (with 99.9% uptime). I want to make me sure what functionality is available there and how I will technically convert it to MVC application. Now, I have queries mentioned following: > I am sure you will try to migrate your current DBC file to your MS SQL. In that case I am assuming SQL server has integration services (SSIS) and export/import wizard. which will work for us but need to check the complexity as well. Can you please send me the database backup which you have already? > I am bit curious about the reporting features as I do not have any idea how much complexity is there. My intuition always say me that in time of generating report we may face so much issue. For an example: if there is huge data and we need to work with it then we can face timeout issue or may be face memory exceed issue in worst case. So, I want to investigate on the current reporting system and want to make the architecture properly so that it would not break in future. > Source code is not necessary until there is any special calculation used for the reporting. So, please let me know if there is any need of calculation in time of reporting then I will ask you for source code. > Do you want to kept the same design style for the new app or want to change it? > Is there any login or registration features?
