Write about a volcano

For your volcano paper, you are asked to research and write a three page paper on a volcano of your choosing. For the most part, this assignment is open to whatever aspect(s) of the volcano you feel would interest you the most. I do ask that you provide at least a half page worth of geologic information about said volcano. Some ideas for this section of your research paper could include, but are not limited to; geographic location, tectonic location, type of volcano, eruptive history, prediction for future eruptions etc. In the end, what this means is when you are researching a volcano, and through your research, discover nongeological aspect of that volcano that interested you, you are welcome to write about that. A couple examples would be: Kilauea and Pele, Vesuvius and Pompeii, Mt. Rainier and Seattle. If you are more interested in the geology of a volcano you are more than welcome to have your entire paper focused on that. Books have been written about most of these volcanoes so finding enough material to write a three page paper should be a walk in the park.
