QT QML Expert with Ubuntu Core (IOT)

I want to try a simple Hello World project with qt qml with ubuntu core. Part of it will involve configuring ubuntu core to run with a virtual box within windows perhaps (i don't know if this is possible) - I will need help with this setup. Also, then configuring qt to build/deploy and run a simple project within this ubuntu core. Instead of building and deploying to some quallcom board or raspberry pi - our goal is to figure out a way to run/configure and keep everything windows native. So basically the project involves seeing a whole workflow start to finish through build to run on an ubuntu core. I want to be able to run this project directly from source code on an ubuntu core within qt creator perhaps. And then take the qt creator IDE out of the loop and build/deploy this simple hello world project on ubuntu core (basically packaging into an application and not run from source code). I have full experience and know how to do all this for windows based applications that runs windows native with windeployqt!!! Just learning the nuances around ubuntu core. thanks and i look forward to learning from you.
