Keep an updatable log file of a drive. The log ([login to view URL]) contains the md5 fingerprint + metadata of all files in the drive at the time it was last executed. When executed again,, compare the metasata in [login to view URL] vs. the drive, and hash those files only that are not present in the [login to view URL], and delete those lines from the [login to view URL] that are not present in the drive.
