I am working with a data science project regarding several calculations. Half of the work is done, but now I need help calculating the probability that in a large set of quantities (csv file) the first digit is X, given that the second digit was Y. And viceversa, calculate the probability that in the large set of quantities the second digit is X, given that the first digit was Y.
I would like to view the options and probable solutions for developing the code. I have the file with the quantities and I am working with Python 3.

Hi! I am working with python since 7 years! Reading and matching from a csv file is not worry at all. What you want is to read each cell of some column of this csv and if the second character (digit) is some value (Y) then count them all (N). Then find all that are starting with X on that set and divide this number of matches by N? I can solve that for you within one hour in a very scalable way that you will be able to reuse later or modify if needed.

Hi, I think its fairly simple, if I have understood it correctly. And it can be solved with the following steps:
Step 1: A = Count all X (lets say 50)
Step 2: B = Count all X given Y's (lets say 5)
Step 3: probability = B/A = 5/50 = 10% probability.
And then for Y's given X, similarly.
We can do this easily using jupyter notebook, and pandas library.
