We are looking to build a tracking platform capable of identifying individual people with the primary purpose to count persons entering or exiting an area, depending on their direction of travel. We have identified suitable code on GitHub that may be utilised and adapted. The software should run on Linux on a Raspberry Pi analysing images from a connected IP video camera. Programming language combination or options: Python/C++/PHP, with a database to capture the data in SQL/MySQL. Familiarity with OpenCV Computer Vision Library may also be required.
