I am looking for a simple QR Reader app primarily for iOS, although an Android option would be nice, if convenient. The QR Reader would have two modes, a standard mode and a database/read-only mode. The standard mode would function as expected and follow a link from a QR code. The database mode, on the other hand, would extract a URL query parameter from the QR code (e.g. [login to view URL]) and then send it to Wordpress using the REST API so that Wordpress can acknowledge it has been scanned. I would like the app to keep the scanned codes and then batch send them or keep them in a buffer and send in sequence. Whatever is quickest and most efficient for the user. In other words, I wouldn't want the reader to scan, send, wait for response, and then make the camera available. It should allow the user to scan as quickly as possible. If possible, the app would get back some information from the associated record in the database and store it locally for display. In other words, the app would have a table with history of what has been scanned. The database tables already exist in Wordpress. I am proficient in PHP and SQL and can provide details regarding the queries and help with any PHP code on the server side, if needed.
