We would like to have PHP Platinum Grid ([url removed, login to view]) ported to work with ODBC data connections.
As the website states, they've used a fairly simple data abstraction layer and you should be able to make the grid work with almost any database platform. I've included the MySQL version that would need to be ported to ODBC (from free trial off their website).
I've been able to port most of the functionality myself as its pretty straight forward...BUT I've stumpled on the row count part. Our backend database is DB2 and the db2 odbc driver returns -1 for the odbc_num_rows function. I've been unable to find a work-around, and thus, I can't get the paging working on the grid. The programming has to be done with this fact in mind. The grid must not only work with ODBC, but must work with the ODBC DB2 Database Driver.
If anyone thinks they can get it to fully work...we need to get it done.
We will ONLY pay if the grid works exactly as it does when using the mysql abstraction layer. In otherwords, we are not interested in paying anything unless the grids functionality is the same as when using the mysql library. We will not pay 75% for a 75% conversion. It's all or nothing folks.
