Document Manager / Viewer / Editor (Prototype)

Document Manager application with viewer and editor in PHP and MySQL. A 'document' is defined as a collection of nodes with a parent-child relationship. A real life example is a book where the 'chapters' can be considered children of the 'book'. A more elaborate example would be legal documents like: Document – Title – Chapter – Section – Article – Paragraph where each level is a parent-child relation. I require a Document Manager for these type of documents where each node can be edited on its own. The viewer must also be capable of displaying the nodes in an alternative order called a 'viewpath' including notes added to the document by users. The result is that an end user can select to view a document in the order and with the notes provided by another user. A situation often found in a teacher-student or mentor-apprentor relationship. The development level required is that of prototype. So everything has to work in order to test the functionality but at this stage details especially visual ones have only a secundairy importance.
