Multiple Vendors Marketplace (1883787)

The project is to build out a marketplace where vendors can sell their products (similar products). We decide to use magento as the base platform, but we need a different product presentation (vendors list) and the functionality of multiple vendors extension plus some teaks, custom features and scripts. ## Deliverables The project is to build out a marketplace where vendors can sell their products (similar products). This project can be broken down into several functional areas: --- CUSTOMERS / SUPPLIERS / COMPANIES --- BACKEND Limited administrator account (admin with limited access) ? Add / edit / delete products ? Sales Reports ? Tier Pricing ? Shipping Costs 1. ONLINE (the supplier has a website) ? Data collection from a variety of stores We plan to partner with companies that already have an eshop, and update product data through xml feed. Data, such as product description, price, stock, shipping need to be pulled/retrieved every day. ? The vendor is responsible for the transportation (shipping) 2. OFFLINE (not have website) ? For the companies that don't have online shop we need an upload script Our company is responsible for transportation (shipping) --- BUYERS / CUSTOMERS --- ? Ability to import comments for each product or order (available in purchase History ) ? Send a second email (after 1week) that prompts the user to comment about the service and products --- PRODUCTS - OFFERS - CONTENT --- 1. PRODUCTS LIST: displaying a list of suppliers with different price and shipping cost for the same product (A good example of the vendor list is this site [login to view URL] -- just take a look at that specific product and the differences between the shipping costs and stock per vendor ) PAYMENTS: API Greek bank payment gateway CART: Calculate shipping costs by different vendors in one order (Multi Vendor - Single Cart) Show offers (special type products - see below) ≥ 100 euro COMMISSION: calculate our commission (backend) REPORTS: sales statistics (for admins, vendors (limited)), export commission reports in .xls format COUPONS: coupons COMMENTS: comments system, rating, social networks 2. OFFERS Special type of products (deals) as discount coupons for services that several companies will offer through our website. Expiration date, different look, no shipping 3. CONTENT ? Informative content ? Module that shows a product category or a specific product in static content pages This is a project that would require long term re-employment (new features, scalability - for example after years we might decide to charge vendors) and support. We are sensitive to both time and cost. We want a solution that is turn-key and in the future can be handed over to our internal tech staff to continue supporting.
