We need a knowledgebase system which looks and works like <[login to view URL]> but: we do not need user comments. also: the interface must be multilingual so that users from different countries can see the interface in different languages It must be possible to set up categories in different languages. When a question is not available in a language then we must offer a machine translation function. Instead of a WYSWIG editor to create the answer pages we want to upload pages created with a different website editor such as frontpage and assign them to a category for the search by category. To index the pages we upload want to use <[login to view URL]> We have stop word lists for various languages. This specs are basic - I understand this. But if you look at phpkb v1.5 you can see what it should look like and what functions are required. If you have any questions, please ask upfront. Do not take on the project if you can not deliver on time. ## Deliverables in regards to machine translation - I was thinking about using one of the online translators, which translate websites or similar, whereby visitor clicks on a language and then the page gets displayed again in the different language. The article would be machine translated automatically when entered into the database - or before - and then stored in the database in the original language and the new languages, marked as machine translated, until someone actually translates it properly. it could then be searched in the languages as all [login to view URL] you have a better idea lest us know. However automatic translation is not the main issue for us - and can be looked at separately, if you prefer. Just make clear in your bid if you do not include automatic translation. However we must be able to upload and search info in multiple languages and the interface must be available (translateable) in multiple languages.
