I have a hugely modified oscommerce website with a lot of complex functionality. One of the functions is a cron that activates a file. The file then does a mysql query and sends out emails to clients based on the result of the query.
The site is MS2, mysql5 and php5.
The server has register_globals = off
We have set register_globals to on in the .htaccess file
The rest of the site and its functions work properly with this settup, but the cron is giving a register_globals error.
The cron runs every 5 minutes and every 5 minutes we are receiving mailer daemons saying: register_globals is disabled in [login to view URL], please enable it!
WHAT I NEED
I need someone to rewrite this function so that it is register_globals compatible because we cannot allow changes to be made that could effect other functions on the site.
The person who fixes this must NOT try to alter coding to make the entire site register_globals compatible.
We will not be providing access to the live site but will give you anything that you need.
Once we receive the fixes back from you and have installed / applied them and they work without causing any other problems, payment will be released immediately.
I am sorry to have to do it this way but this site really does have a lot of functionality that is not normal and that can be broken by doing global changes.
Please do not bid if you are not familiar with register_globals issues
I am uploading the problem file with this project: [login to view URL] and will give you any other files that you may need.
