simple query

I have a simple directory that includes a bunch of check box filters.... most use arrays.... but I've got one that functions differently and is not filtering properly. I'm thinking this is 10 minutes of coding... For example: [login to view URL][]=Classical&sty[]=Jazz this filter is functional will show results for anyone who had classical AND/OR jazz in their profile This works because "Classical" and "Jazz" are each their own column in the database trying to do the same thing for person's location.... but there is only one "location" column (with several optional values) in the database.
