Internet Filter by Custom DNS

The aim of this project is to provide small business customers with a basic way to block Non-Work related websites from their Office / School Computers. The system is to work based on changing the DNS settings in there Modem or Router to our DNS Services. This will be a free service for clients. Admin Section: (Our Use Only) An Admin Section must be created for us to manage the growing list of sites being requested to be blocked. Business Owners will be able to submit websites to us for global blocking that will require approval by an Administrator of the system prior to being added to the global block lists. The more a site is “Reported for Blocking” the higher it shows on the list. We would also like to add a Browser Tool that will give all users a Button they can press that will “Report website as not work related”. This is how we will build our list and keep the software up to date with new sites that the users want blocked. Not all requests will be approved but the more its reported the higher on the list it will appear and be checked by our staff. Please note we have a script that does this already! See [login to view URL] We want to create 3 DNS Server/IP Options: As such clients will have 3 options for the type of blocking they require. Each with have a dedicated CentOS Server on a dedicated IP as the DNS Server. Server 1 = Block All Listed websites (Porn/Proxy/Bad sites/ File sharing/YouTube/Facebook) Server2 = Block All but not YouTube Server3 = Block All But Not YouTube and Social Media/Facebook Based on this clients will be able to select the DNS Server/IP they desire and simply enter it into their router. As such this will then block the undesired traffic. This is a free service as such no need for any user to sign up. No additional software required by the client.
