Joomla Customization

We would like our current Joomla homepage template to be modified. It currently has 3 columns and we would like the top portion of the middle column and the top portion of the right column to be merged. Then we would like an Event Feature functionality placed there where images are uploaded using Joomla Media images section and those images gets placed in the Event Feature section on the homepage. The Event Feature should fade the images from one to the next using flash or any other recommended script and it should pull the images in numerical order. So [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] etc. Please see attachements for example. ss+[login to view URL] is what the homepage looks like now and ss+[login to view URL] is what it should look like once this project is complete.
