Ecommerce Website and Backend IntegrationJ2EE

Project Objective - To build a web site that supports our online sales channel using J2EE technologies. Project Details - We are looking to build out additional capabilities on top of this infrastructure to support various e-commerce capabilities via our website which include: (i) user account registration and profile entries (including contact information, billing information, and purchases); (ii) user login and logout; (iii) user searches product catalog online and select products for online purchase; (iv) user account shopping cart; (v) user payment processing; (vi) user edits information in his profile; and (vii)user makes request online that his password and other information is sent to him via email (for example, in case he forgets this info.) - Registration UI needs to be integrated with backend services written in EJB. - To develop a shopping cart that will interact with the company’s product catalog services. - Need to support payment processing for credit card. - We will not place much emphasis on the aesthetics of the web UI. In other words, we just want very basic web UIs that are easy to understand and that work. No need for fancy logos or colors or patterns. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). Requirements - Excellent web-UI design with expert knowledge in CSS/HTML. - Need to integrate this work with the overall web site. Need to be compliant to the overall web site design. - Need to use STRUTS as the front end framework - Must have working knowledge of integrating with EJB. - Need to implement additional backend EJBs - Need to modify database schema to support shopping cart and user registration. - Need to integrate off the shelf credit card processing system - Need to adhere to the design, and work closely with our team on integration. ## Platform Background - We will sell offline access to digital via our website. So customers will go online to purchase access to the digital audio we sell. They will then receive an access code from us via the web and via email. They then use that access code offline. (As a simple analogy you can just think about Amazon.com. The customer buys the book online using web-based UIs, but receives the book offline, as part of a separate distribution process.) - We have already built a multi-tiered J2EE infrastructure for distributing audio content offline. Open source technologies such as JBoss, MySQL, and Hibernate are used for the infrastructure. Linux-based. Will be using STRUTS, CSS/HTML, etc.
