eBay Inventory Management

? ? ? ? I have a small business that primarily deals with buying on eBay, and I am looking for a program to reduce my overall workload. This program will help to make sure the people I'm buying from are legitimate, that? I receive the items I purchased,? as well as keep better control of inventory and cost. ## Deliverables ? ? ? ? Unless noted, the program should perform all functions below automatically. ? ? ? ? I want to own the code outright, even though I have no plans to distribute it at this time. ? ? ? ? I would also prefer the software to be written in Java, as I am looking to switch to Linux. Overall features for the software: 1. Maintain a database of all correspondence either in plain text and/or another database type, as long as the non-text database is widely available in other software. 2. Be able to connect to an email address or addresses via POP3 and IMAP to receive email, and filter it based on parameters entered. 3. Check items won and acquire the address from the winning bidder notification from eBay, and check it against the United States Postal Service Website, and verify that it is an actual address. 4. Keep track of Paypal emails and issue reminders when not paid, and information about the transaction, including Paypal tracking numbers. 5. I should be able to create classes of contents, such as $100 worth of stamps are not one stamp but a pool of stamps. 6. When a package arrives, I must be able to search a database with either the name, address or the contents to locate it in the database. 7. When I finish entering the package data, the program will open up the eBay page so I can enter feedback. 8. There must be a section to list current inventory and current cost per item, as well as filters to sort the data. 9. I must be able to define a credit card with certain properties, including cash back, and a promotional interest rate. 10. When I receive a credit card statement, the program should be able to take the plain text that I copy or enter, and remove the extraneous text, such as lines, etc. no numbers or letters, and no OCR required. The program will then match it up with the amounts from the Paypal email, as they list the ID as on the credit card statement. 11. The program must keep track of who I sold the items to, when, price and tracking number. 12. The program should track the cost of sending packages out, including the cost of stamps I purchased and used on the package, and the amount of cash I added when at the post office. 13. Be able to generate a profit and loss statement when I give two different dates, so its easy to compute taxes. Required sub features: 1. I must be able to set up alarms after a predetermined period of time for each stage of purchasing, and selling that I can adjust via a settings page. For example, if a package hasn't arrived in two weeks, the program should alert me and I can look into it. 2. When an item requires payment via a money order (which will be determined via the email eBay has sent), when I send it off, the program will email the seller the payment has been sent via eBay's website, and the tracking number if any. 3. For each stage, I must have a way to add additional information, such as a small text area, and an place to attach a photo or other files. 4. Be able to update the recognition pattern via example to accommodate changes in the format of eBay's and Paypal's emails. 5. Have a very basic graph function (basically a line graph) to show the cost of an item or total value of the inventory, etc.
