We require a coder to run a script to resize all jpeg thumbnail images in several folders on a Linux server. The current thumbnails of approximately 150 x 200 need to be increased in height to 502 pixels with the corresponding side adjusted automatically to preserve the aspect ratio of the the original thumbnail image.
The increase in size needs to also include a sharpening process to reduce the loss in quality. The existing file needs to remain unchanged and the new jpg file created with the same file name with an underscore appended to the name. There are approximately 15 subfolders with 20,000 jpeg files in each that require conversion.
Hello,
I'm ready to start right now, let me know if you're interested, I'll handle it for you in less than 3 hours (the next hours.)
You can check my feedbacks for more informations.

Hi, we are an argentinian web development company specialized in HTML/CSS/Javascript/PHP/MySQL. We have experience in this kind of development and can deliver with quality in little time.
We would use the GD library to create the new images.
I have made a few dozen Perl scripts that traverse dirs and do some change on all or selected images so nothing new here.
You surely have Perl on the server and only a few additional libraries that are easy to install may be needed (Imager, Image::Size).

Hello. It should be a quick task resizing your images. Could you let me know if you have the GD library installed on your server? It should be in it's own section if you run a file with phpinfo() command. Thank you and I look forward to working with you.
