Convert MDB to MDF file

We develop an asset tracking software program called AssetManage.? We have a version that uses a Microsoft Access 2000 data file and another version that uses ODBC to connect to the back-end database.? The database table formats for both products are very similar but not identical. A customer needs to have an MDB file with their data converted to SQL Server 2000 MDF format, this requires converting the MDB to an MDF and making a few fieldname changes so that it works with our ODBC version. You will need SQL Server 2000 running to be able to setup the database using the MDF file you converted, then setup an ODBC connection to it using the Windows ODBC Administrator. To test, simply download the AssetManage Enterprise program from: [login to view URL] Then attach your converted MDF file to an SQL Server 2000 database, run the program and select an ODBC data source.? If the program runs, you can add, edit records, then the file has been converted properly.? To see all the changes that need to be made you must compare the MDB file with the schema for the MDF file.?
