I'm wanting to access the data in Outlook Express in the message pane of the inbox etc...However, if the user chooses to hide a column then I cannot retrieve the data and only a blank buffer is sent back. This is the code I have been using: LVITEM lvi; memset(&lvi, 0, sizeof(LVITEM)); lvi.mask=LVIF_TEXT; lvi.iSubItem=5; lvi.pszText=buff; lvi.cchTextMax=19; SendMessage(hLstBar, LVM_GETITEMTEXT, index, (LPARAM)&lvi); MessageBox(NULL,[login to view URL],"text",0); Which works fine if the column is visible. I do not need to add any data to this, but just retrieve data. NOT USING MFC! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!FURTHER DETAILS!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually need to retrieve the From, To and Subject fields, which are all located in the preview pane just above the actual message. But I cannot figure out how to get them or even a handle to that 'bar' as it was. Thank you Due to the tight deadline, I will be available on MSN (address given after bid accepted) chat, or I'll get any messenger that you have.
