Algorithm for closed loop tracking

Project will create, (in C for integration into embedded firmware,(first using a PIC micro)), a routine that will receive an entered “target?? value and then determine the best matching value combination from 2 look up tables. The each table consists of 2 “input components?? each with 100 possible values. One can imagine this as the first table consisting of Coarse and Medium adjustment values (100 for each) and the second table consisting of Fine and Precision (100 for each) look up values. Therefore each component represents different “step?? contribution values: Coarse = 43.2 for each of its steps, Medium = 21.6, Fine = .4 and Precision = .02. First, it needs to determine the closest value in the “coarse/medium?? table. With this value, the second table is used to then get even closer to matching the target value by selecting from the “fine/precision?? table and adding the two results together. The exact two selected cells from each table are then identified and each component is set for this “best fit?? determination. Once the system is set from the initial “best match?? routine described above, the system then needs to then continually attempt to match the target value and react as fast as possible. By comparing the actual performance value (the measured actual status) with the target (how far off it is from the target value) it can then determine the best “adjustment?? amount. Please see attached word doc and spread sheet for more functionality, details and examples. ## Deliverables Deliverables: C source code, clearly documented. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) with complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform the delivered C code will be incorporated into existing C code that will be compiled to run on a PIC micro. Should be in standard, ANSI C file format.
