I have some documentation for adding users to Exchange 2010 and the documentation is not 100%
When followed we get an error saying The Name Cannot be matched to a Name in the Address List.
We need someone to fix the User Account which we wanted to add and also update/fix the documentation
so we can do this ourselves in future with correct instructions.
We also wish to have Website Panel installed on the box to enable adding accounts in future without
adding manually. The URL for this is:
[login to view URL]
This situation arose because the previous developer we had help from did not provide good working documentation.
Looking at the documentation, If you look at the bit which says "Crate a New Address Book Policy" it says:
New-AddressBookPolicy -Name "[login to view URL] ABP" -GlobalAddressList "[login to view URL] GAL" -AddressLists "[login to view URL] AL" -OfflineAddressBook "domain OAB" -RoomList "[login to view URL] AL"
However, we then get the error message saying:
Address List or global address list "domain GAL" was not found..
I believe this is because the line above which creates this is wrong.. it says:
New-GlobalAddressList -Name "[login to view URL]" -RecipientFilter {CustomAttribute1 -eq '[login to view URL]'}
Should that actually be ??
New-GlobalAddressList -Name "[login to view URL] GAL" -RecipientFilter {CustomAttribute1 -eq '[login to view URL]'}
I think this is where the documentation starts to go wrong… same applies to the OAB… as the command to create the Offline Address Book is
New-OfflineAddressBook -Name "[login to view URL]" -AddressLists "[login to view URL] AL"
Should probably should be
New-OfflineAddressBook -Name "[login to view URL] OAB" -AddressLists "\[login to view URL] AL"
