We are currently migrating our e-commerce web shop from magento 1 to magento 2 but unfortunately have had issues with our current developer not completing the project. We are looking for somebody to come on board to check over the work that has been done and to complete the project as soon as possible. The majority of the work has been completed but developer has walked away from the project stating he is too busy to finish and it is a server issue rather than a developer issue.

First your developer might be correct in telling that it is a server issue, so as a developer can't say without looking at your setup.
