Write Chef Recipe to update Splunk collectors/forwarders (instead of using IP, it uses Hostname)

need to update splunk collectors/forwarders to use the name "[login to view URL] using chef recipe Currently in the directory /opt/splunkforwarder/etc/system/local/outputs.conf. it has following files [tcpout] defaultGroup = default-autolb-group [tcpout:default-autolb-group] server = [login to view URL] [tcpout-server://[login to view URL]] the IP listed above is in the /opt/splunkforwarder/etc/system/local/outputs.conf. The ip mentioned in the conf files needs replaced with the hostname and then splunk service need to be restarted my understanding is that IP is the IP address of our splunk search head/indexer instead of using IP address, going forward, we want to use hostname since in future, ip can be dynamic when we build out highly available splunk search head/indexer environment
