I would like for someone to work with me on an example project that will have RMCobol interfacing with named pipes on IBM AIX.
To that end, the first (center) cobol process will open a pipe for read and a pipe for write. The 2nd cobol process will open the pipe for write. A third cobol process will open its pipe for read.
COBOL 2 -> QUE1 -> CENTER COBOL -> QUE2 -> COBOL3 -> DISPLAY
The idea is that:
Step1. Cobol 2 writes to Que1 (that has been opened for read by Center Cobol)
Step2. Center Cobol reads QUE1 and writes same message to QUE2 (that has been opend for read by Cobol3)
Step3. Cobol3 reads QUE2 and displays the message (the same as originally written by Cobol2) on the screen.
The Goal: Write a min of 10,000 records/messages in 15 minutes
