TITLE: Senior Ladies Knitwear Designer POSITION TYPE : Full Time SALARY: Competitive HOLIDAYS: Standard LOCATION: Columbus office. START DATE: Asap REPORT TO : Line Manager / Director DESIGNER SPECIFICATION: - Successful applications must have at least 5 years ladies knitwear design experience at a commercial level - passionate about design and a have good eye for up and coming trends - As a Senior Designer you will take ownership for designing and building your own ranges which will reflect the commercial needs of the business. - Excellent knowledge of yarns and knit techniques - Ability to produce factory technical sheets for all design work is a must - Produce seasonal trend & colour boards - Flexible working hours including overtime and be confident to travel to buyers meetings , trade shows, research trips and factory visits as and when required - Strong CAD skill photoshop and Illustrator packages - Daily contact with buyers and factory via emails / skype etc - Must be able to work on own initiative as well as be a team player - Must be able to demonstrate the above skills with a port folder of design work at the interview ( this can be done either as hard copy or on digital pdf format presentation on a tablet) MARKET LEVEL TO DESIGN FOR: slightly older customer base 30 years + - AMERICAN EAGLE - GAP - OLD NAVY - ABERCROMBIE - FOREVER 21 - HOLLISTER - AEROPOSTALE - J CREW - EXPRESS CLOTHING - H&M (BUT SLIGHTLY OLDER) - THE LIMITED - PAC SUN (BUT SLIGHTLY OLDER) - JC PENNEY - SOUTH AMERICAN MARKETS
