I am seeking to hire a web designer to prepare a website for my business start-up called [login to view URL] . It will be a gold and silver business with both online sales as well as physical store sales. I have rather detailed pages of what I will want the website to look like and how I would like it to function, which I will discuss with certain potential web designers after I have narrowed down the possible ones. But at this point I want to narrow down the possibilities just to a few. Besides the initial project of getting the website up and running, in all likelihood there will be many additional projects to improve and refine the website. I got the domain name for the business through [login to view URL] , and likely I will also use them for webhosting, although that could be a matter of discussion with the web designer. The website will require a database to function, and my present leanings are that its relational database management system either be MySQL or MS SQL Server. I have some level of familiarity and experience with both. I am in the process of determining all of the fields I will want in each of the tables of the database. The website will need to be accessed and used by both customers and business personnel. Since it will be a gold and silver business, it will need to pull the current spot prices of gold and silver from the internet at given regular intervals, in order to use for pricing purposes. For those who are applying for this project, I will want to see example websites you have prepared, your qualifications, and your availability to do this project.
