I need you to develop some software for me. I would like this software to be developed for Windows , especially VBA within Excel. I have the following problem to solve via VBA programming. Within the attached Excel file (Beispieldatensatz_v1) you will find three worksheets. Worksheet "Depotbestand" contains the raw data. Within "Depotbestand" I have to find all "Anleihe" (English = Bond / can be found in column A) and they have to be inserted into the worksheet „Anleihen-Template für Bloomberg“. Within the worksheet „Anleihen-Template für Bloomberg“ a Bloomberg-Formula shall download the duration of the individual bond ("Anleihe"). I do not have access to Bloomberg (=Bloomberg is an external data base) and therefore I can assume that the duration will be downloaded automatically later on (via the placeholder function for the Bloomberg formula shown attached). Then I have to copy all data values of „Anleihen-Template für Bloomberg“ into the worksheet „Wertkopie_Bloomberg_sortiert“ and sort them based on the "YTM" values in an ascending order. It is important that only the data shown in column B, E and F which is "Bezeichnung", "YTM" and "ISIN" will be carried over from worksheet "Depotbestand" into „Anleihen-Template für Bloomberg“ and „Wertkopie_Bloomberg_sortiert“. The data shown in column "Assetklasse", "Whg" and "Kurs" in worksheet "Depotbestand" shall be ignored for the carry over. Please keep in mind that the header wording ("ISIN", "Bezeichnung" and "YTM DURATION - Daten aus BLB") shown in C2:F2 within the worksheets „Anleihen-Template für Bloomberg“ and „Wertkopie_Bloomberg_sortiert“ shall not be changed while creating the macro.

Hello, I have downloaded and checked the excel file. I could see that the Depotbestand worksheet has very few data (80 rows), so I presume that this is just an example. The range of data are not known, therefore the macro should crawl the worksheet downward until it encounter an empty cell. Every "Anleihe" row (not all the cells, only those 3 significant to you) should be copied to the Anleihen - Template fur Bloomberg worksheet. There the duration will be updated through the formula in F column. After the duration is updated from the Bloomberg database, the data should be copied in Wertkopie worksheet, and the macro should sort the data by YTM column. If I've got it right, then I consider that the macro to do this job is simple and easy to create - in a few hours it should be ready. If I overlooked something or I've got it all wrong, then maybe the time of creating the macro might be more than a few hours. Looking forward for your answer. Zoltan

Hi, I am Vijay and liked the project that you have posted here and interested in handling the project for implementation, With the description provided, I understood the requirements in detail. There are mainly three tasks in the project that you have defined 1. Listing of the records containing the "Anleihe" from Sheet 1(Depotbestand) to Sheet2(Anleihen-Template für Bloomberg) with details related to "ISIN", "Bezeichnung" and "YTM" 2. The data that has been copied should retain in the same format as displayed in the first sheet 3. Sort the data based on the YTM and display inside the Sheet 3 (Wertkopie_Bloomberg_sortiert) 4. During this process of logical implementation, the headers and the positions should not be changed With this basic understanding, I am ready to take up the project Here are the ways in which I will propose my solution and implementation for the same 1. Generating a macro which will help in displaying the data on load on sheet 2 2. Generating a macro which will help in copying the data from sheet 2 to sheet 3 with sorting in ascending order based on ytm 3.
