Design Genius Required

We are looking for a creative design freelancer who can demonstrate a proven track record in designing innovative website layouts and ideally apps. We need someone with good UI knowledge who understands how their design translates into the various different mediums. We have two projects in the pipeline - the first is for a small brochureware website, the 2nd is for a larger ecommerce website built on the osCommerce platform. We are a small software development agency based in the North West, with a number of clients (ecommerce and non ecommerce) and are hoping to develop a long term relationship as there are several other clients of ours that we could sell your services into. If your work is good enough you could effectively become the in-house designer for a number of our clients, who would trickle work through such as designing promotional banners, email layouts etc. We usually ask a designer to create a homepage and sub page in a couple of different styles that we can then present to the client - sometimes there is a second round of amends and sometimes we nail it and are able to build the website from the initial designs. We usually have a rough brief, with examples of things the client likes and dislikes and sometimes artwork to be included. Our current freelance designer seems to have gone awol so we need someone who is prompt in communicating and can meet deadlines.
