HOW TO SHOP ON A BUDGET!
Not all of us are lucky enough to be able to afford brand name clothes so for those of us less fortunate must stay within our budget and buy cheaper clothes.
I find the best way to dress on a budget is to check out all the clearance items at any local department store or go to the local Salvation Army or thrift shop. I can buy more items at these two stores than I can at any department store. When I was married and my spouse made much more money than I have now as a single lady, I still found myself always looking for cheaper clothes because I think it is crazy to buy clothes by brand names when you can get non-brand names for a lot less.
Many of the garments you buy at the thrift shops probably have only been worn one time. Women have a pattern of buying brand name items and wearing them only once before they get rid of them. Since most women do the “yo-yo” diet, then they will go thru their clothes and find themselves buying different sizes throughout the year. Not all the sizes are available at the thrift shops because not all women lose weight the same way. You will find many brand names at the thrift shops and many of the garments will have very little damage on them. I look them overly very carefully to make sure that there are no discolorations on the garments that I choose. I also look for stains that are very noticeable when worn. Before you actually wear the item once you get it home, I highly recommend it to wash it first because they may have moth ball smells on them from the previous owners leaving them stored for long periods of times.
At the thrift shops you might find a limit selection of garments you’re looking for but you might also find lots of bargains because most of the items prices start at $3.00 and go up from there. Compared to the higher prices I find I can save over 75 to 80 percent when I go buy at Thrift shops versus your department stores or even Wal-Mart.
The best time to me to find the best garments are right after the holidays because this is when most people go through their closets and get rid of items they don’t wear anymore. The only items I don’t buy at these stores are shoes because there are usually limited sizes of shoes at these shops. You can also wait until you get your income tax and go crazy and buy alot of clothes at once then.
So if you do not care whether you are wearing the latest fashions and want to wear nice clothes at budget prices then go to the least expensive places such as thrift shops or Salvation Army and you can find bargains at budget prices.
