I am looking for a freelancer to help me with my project. The skills required are C#, Development needs to be in Visual Studio. I am happy to pay a fixed priced and my budget is £250 - £300 GBP. I am looking for a Windows service to monitor multiple paths for a couple of things - files created that match a list of file masks, and witness files being changed in any way, detection needs to trigger certain events, stopping services, sending emails etc. The service needs a GUI that resides in the system tray whilst the service is running, which allows the configuration of various user configurable options - email server, paths to monitor etc. I have a very basic visual studio project I can provide to give a better idea of what's required.

Hi there, how are you? I can create the app in C# using VS. There will be 2 separate apps, one being the service process and one being the front-end (control panel). This is because the service in Windows cannot interact with the GUI. The demo you provided helped me get an idea of what you need. Besides discussing the list of triggered events (assuming that there are more than stopping services, sending emails) everything looks clear. Waiting for your reply. Thank you!
